School Reform and InnovationSchool Reform Home > Projects & Activities > Self-Study > Publications > Staff > Links The School Reform and Innovation area has focused on the evaluation of middle-level school reform for the past fifteen years. Through partnerships with professional associations, middle-level reform initiatives, and foundations, we have conducted research and evaluation with hundreds of middle-grades schools throughout the country. The cornerstone of our evaluation of middle-grades schools is the School Improvement Self-Study, a comprehensive and cost-effective evaluation and assessment system built on a solid foundation of theory, research, and practice. Recently, we developed a Self-Study for high schools in response to new national recommendations for high school reform. Individual schools use the Self-Study data to guide their improvement efforts. CPRD's analyses of state and regional Self-Study data have been widely disseminated in reports, journal articles, research chapters, and at state and national conferences.
