Data Collection ProceduresAt CPRD we treat the collection and processing of data with extreme care to safeguard the rights and the privacy of participants and ask that you do the same in your program. If your program has been involved in the statewide evaluation of Teen REACH in the past, you or someone in your organization may be familiar with the data collection procedures. However, because the procedures are different this year, we ask that you take time to read the Teen REACH Data Collection Procedures Manual, which you can download from this link. We recommend that you use this information to train staff to administer surveys or that you direct the staff to this web page. A critical step in survey data collection involving minors is making
sure that parents and youth are fully informed of the procedures and voluntarily
agree to participate. Securing parental consent is the initial step in
survey data collection. The Parental Consent Letter to be given to parents
of Teen REACH participants serves this important purpose and can be downloaded
from this site in English and Spanish. (Please read more on Informed Consent
Procedures in the Data Collection Procedures Manual.)
